John Chew Robinson was a member of the Durham Light Infantry and after the DLI was disbanded he became a Regimental Sergeant-Major in the Northumberland Fusiliers. Mr Turton says that the website 'Military Images' (linked below), "tells the story of my Grandfather who was a highly decorated soldier of WW1. He lived and died in Kelloe, and being a "Kella" lad myself I am justifiably proud of him. I didn't move to far away, Coxhoe and still have a strong affinity and many happy memories of living there." For more information please visit Roger W. G. Capewell's John Chew Robinson page on his website 'Military Images'. |
